About Charlie

I’m Charlie, a yoga teacher, Thai massage practitioner, and forever a student of life.

Originally from Myanmar, I recently relocated to Paris after 15 years of living in Bali. With a background in preschool education and ESL teaching, I’ve always been drawn to helping people learn and grow. Teaching yoga and offering massage feels like a natural extension of that same path.

How Yoga Found Me

My journey into yoga began nearly a decade ago, when I reluctantly tagged along with a friend to a yoga class in Bali. I’d tried yoga a few times before and was convinced it wasn’t for me. But that day, something shifted. Maybe it was the teacher who spoke beyond the physical postures, or maybe I was simply ready—ready to open my heart to something new. That class lit a spark, and I’ve been practicing ever since.

In the early days, I struggled. I sweated, stumbled, sighed, and see-sawed between control and surrender. But I kept showing up—and slowly, yoga began to show me who I really was.

When the pandemic brought the world to a halt, I dove deeper into my practice and completed my teacher training with two of my beloved mentors—the same teachers who had first inspired me. Yoga became my anchor during a time of disconnection and uncertainty. It helped me rediscover my spark, reconnect with myself, and realign with what truly matters.

Why I Teach

Teaching yoga feels deeply meaningful to me. It allows me to share the knowledge and inspiration I’ve received, and to hold space for others as they explore their own paths. With my background in education, guiding yoga classes feels like a natural continuation of a lifelong calling to teach.

Yoga has taught me to embrace my breath, my body, my thoughts and feelings—and to meet life’s details with awareness. I try to treat each day as a unique adventure. Some days are harder than others. I stumble often. But I always get back up, dust myself off, and begin again.

Yoga reminds me that every moment is an opportunity—to learn, to forgive, to surrender, to grow, and to try again. It’s a path that prepares us to live with courage, presence, and purpose—welcoming life with both hands open.

As for Thai Yoga Massage, I’ve always been drawn to the healing power of touch, especially the deep, supported stretches that are central to Thai massage. After studying in Chiang Mai, I came to see how naturally yoga and Thai massage can be woven together. I love helping people feel better in their bodies—more open, more grounded, more at ease.

Whether you’re here to stretch, release, breathe, or just feel a little more like yourself, I’d be honored to guide you.
